We had a wonderful stay! The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They have a communal lounge area where you can hang out and grab a drink, patio tables outside, and a restaurant that on its own is worth the visit. The breakfast was amazing and very filling. Rooms are serviced every day. Our apartment was comfortable with everything we needed. We chose to walk to and from the lake and although steep in parts, it is totally doable. There is a dedicated path so you aren’t walking on the road. They also offered to shuttle us which came in handy when we needed to catch our train the last day. We would definitely stay here again.

Das Alla Torre del Barbarossa liegt ruhig oberhalb von Mandello del Lario; abseits vom Lago-Como-Tourismus. Die Zimmer sind gepflegt und gut eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist hausgemacht, unkompliziert und gut. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Gastfreundschaft von Stefano: aufmerksam ohne aufdringlich zu sein und hilfsbereit bei konkreten Fragen. In 20 Minuten ist man mit dem Auto in Varenna und kann dort per Fähre alle Ortshaften an den Ufern erreichen oder sogar bis Como fahren.
