I wanted to be in Manteo because I lived here for 24 years. The pictures of the remodeled rooms were beautiful. I was given a room on the back of the property in a separate building nothing like I expected. It was clean but the floors were moist. I was disappointed for my first visit back in six years.

The hotel is an older hotel that seems to be remodeled. It will probably be nice when they are done. There were minor problems in the room. Several outlets didn’t work, and the light in the bathroom was going out and it needed a new lightbulb. The Keurig did not work properly and the floor was pretty dirty. I told the staff at check out and they noted the issues to fix. One other issue is the rooms need some black out shades or something. The rooms open to the outside and the light is bright very early in the morning .Staff was very friendly

Our stay overall was nice. The rooms were clean which is appreciated however, the rooms do need TLC. Cheap upgrades and some bad repairs. The one thing I will talk about is the bathroom's.....they are entirely to TIGHT! My 8 year old could not use the toilet without hugging the wall.
