Room, although small, was very clean, beds comfortable, and Mike at the check-in booth came immediately upon request to help us with our TV! He was awesome and friendly. Not much in the way of amenities but for the budget-minded, this was a good place to stay. "No pets" policy is why we stayed here because my husband id deathly allergic to cat hair. No problems here!

Let's be honest- this is the most inexpensive lodging on Marathon Key, so set your expectations accordingly. You're staying here because it's more comfortable than sleeping in your car and it comes with a shower. With those expectations set, I was pleasantly surprised to find the property clean, which was my big concern. The staff was very accommodating with my late arrival and very friendly. I wouldn't bring my kids here, as I spoil them too much when we travel, but I'd bring my wife here, as we both like a good deal and this place delivers.

Sorry to say but here’s the pros and cons. Facility was very dated! Old beds, bedding, very dated old furniture, the bed frame was broken, a/c is a window unit(loud), bathroom shower drain didn’t drain and was a poor unit to shower in, poor amenities. The staff was welcome and friendly.

We were in a cabin on a dock that had been previously flooded. I paid $160 for the room. It wasn't worth $50. The room needed lots of work! The floors were disgustingly filthy. My feet were black. There was a double bed in the room for two good size women. NOT A QUEEN. I asked for a cot. No cots. They gave me a twin air mattress that lasted 15 minutes before I found myself on the floor. No curtains. Broken up mini blinds. Bathroom was disgusting. Pretty worn down room. The dock was an accident waiting to happen. We could have easily tripped on the way out of the room. If there had been someone in the office when I left I would have asked for a refund!! NOT HAPPY!

We recently stayed here for 3 nights. Arrived around 6pm, check in was easy, quick and professional. Customer service was excellent. The owner was lovely and very pleasant welcoming us to the Keys and getting us checked in. We were located room 10, our room was clean, the shower was amazing, the pressure and temperature was really good. Yes its a no frills stay but we were really pleased with our stay and it went above our expectations. Location was perfect for us being pretty central, we were able to visit Key West, Islamorada and Key Largo during our stay. There was no issues with parking for us, and the air conditioning was a very welcome treat with the heat we experienced in our time visiting the Florida Keys. We would definitely stay again if were ever in the area again.

Motel in the Florida Keys

Based on location and price this resort is ok. The staff was very helpful but the resort doesn't provide anything special. They don't provide a microware, coffee machine, hair dryer, iron or any extra amenities. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay in the Florida Keys this is fine but don't expect anything extra.

The privacy, outdoor was relaxing was able just sit relax while fishing. The place wasn’t clean properly need a freshener up the blanket smell at lease put in dryer after ever use to kill order little bleach will go a long way. The attendant was welcoming and pleasant, easy checking in.

Would Definitely Stay Again

Jim and Mike are great! Nice guys very welcoming and friendly. This is basic lodging. It’s clean. We booked last minute and stayed just one night. Wasn’t expecting much based on some of the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. The place was exactly what we needed. It’s very basic.The price was right especially compared to the really high prices in the keys. Great location, near restaurants. Don’t hesitate to stay here.
