The LINE has always been my go-to staycation spot when I want to relax and escape from everyday life. I’ve stayed here multiple times and genuinely love the vibe, the cleanliness, and the perks I get as an Expedia Gold member. It’s usually a seamless, relaxing experience; which is why I keep coming back. However, this last visit felt different in a way that made the stay feel less inviting. First, the pool now closes at 7 p.m., even on hot summer days when the sun doesn’t set until almost 8:30. That’s a big change from past stays and really cuts into the evening vibe I used to enjoy. Second, security checked for room keys every hour on the hour while I was at the pool. I totally understand keeping the space for guests, but this felt excessive. In the past, it was more relaxed… if I had a guest stop by, it wasn’t a big deal. Now it feels like you can’t have anyone join you at all, which doesn’t match the hotel’s usual welcoming, social energy. When I asked about the early closing, there wasn’t a clear reason given — just a vague response from security. I’m still a fan of the hotel and hope to return, but these new policies took away from the experience and made it feel more rigid than relaxing.
