Sunshine Marine Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Incredible location, resort, staff and food. I stayed here for 10 nights and it was perfect. The rooms are spacious with a tasteful interior equipped with air conditioning. The villas are situated in a garden with paths, overlooking the ocean on a small cliff. The staff is attentive and eager to provide excellent service. As a solo female traveler I felt very comfortable, safe and well taken care of. I highly recommend!!"
Hotel Riu Palace Zanzibar - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"All inclusive hotel with great buffet. Beautiful and large beach."
TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar
8/10 Good
"Our inbound transportation wasnโt there due to misunderstanding on the hotel part even though we had called and exchanged few emails but they found a quick solution for us and it went very smoothly. I would suggest to add some snacks (cookies, cakes, crisps, chocolate bars, etc .) at the bar and not only drinks to make it more convenient."
My Blue Hotel
8/10 Good
"Property grounds were nice. Rooms are a bit dated. The TV and telephone in our room did not work. Manager at reception was very accommodating and made our stay much better. The massages were excellent. Highly recommend them.! Wifi is awful! Love the balconies! The other downside is the beach, the beach is beautiful but you have to pay 25$ for 2 chairs and umbrella every day if you want to be on the beach. Otherwise they do have beach chairs on man made beach near infinity pool. Just depends on your preference! Food is ok. Nothing to rave about but something for everyone!"
Zanzibar Queen Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The spa massage girls are AMAZING. I have had my share of massages in 60 countries. These women are magical. I wanted to take them back to LA with me. The rest of the staff was wonderful too. Great place- beautiful people. Zanzibar is a jewel. Good food. Great pools. Great bar service. ๐ Just do NOT - from a scuba diver/ environmentalist- go on ANY DOLPHIN TOURS! They are barbaric. Coming from California- these poor animals are hunted by 32-130 boats and many drive OVER THE PODS- then tourists are allowed to JUMP ON THEM in the water. It turned my stomach. I was here for an environmental program to protect the ocean and sea life. Please donโt participate."
