"A smaller hotel but with provided a great experience. The staff were outstanding from reception to the bar. The rooms were very cool (we had a family room) and large, clean and very well appointed. The restaurant always looked good with many options enough to satisfy kids too. The kids also loved the pool & table tennis games room. The Dive centre in the hotel was also excellent and one of the reasons we chose this hotel. It all worked well. Just over an hour from the airport but plenty stuff to do at or near hotel with Mnemba Island just a short boat ride away!"

"Amazing property. Secluded, with incredible views. With only 17 bungalows, if you want privacy and tranquility this is your place. The food is delicious, the staff accommodating (the dining staff extended lunch time by an hour just to accommodate us). Eclectically cool decor. Affordable luxury... highly recommend"

"We had an amazing stay at Sunshine Marine Lodge. The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. The reception team helped with arranging tours and activities - we especially loved the tour of Stone Town! The hotel also offers transfer services from the airport, which was really convenient. The resort itself is beautiful and peaceful. The food was also great, especially the fresh fruit at breakfast and the daily specials for lunch and dinner. Cannot recommend this stay enough!"

"Lovely place to stay. Food was ok. Room very spacious and beautifully decorated. Massage was absolutely beautiful. The staff were very attentive and friendly, the manager was a bit of an opportunist and will try get extra $$ when he gets a chance. Overall beautiful place. Would definitely recommend."

"I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area. I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely. At night time I had an evening meal which was tasty and they accommodated my dietary requirements very well. I am gluten intolerant. I recommend this hotel if you like quiet and beauty filled places "
