Fun Retreat Resort, Hotel and Ayurveda Spa

"This resort is strangely wonderful. I mean that in the best way. It is a fun resort and if you have very young kids you may not leave. The pool is clean and refreshing.The food is cooked fresh for every meal( so sometimes when you order 4 different styles it can take a little while) but western , Indian or Tanzanian was all really tasty. All the pictures on the internet are real. ( apart from Swiss Cottage I couldnโt find that one) Bar is huge , so is the restaurant. Staff are very kind and helpful just remember to give them time to get a driver as they need to find someone they trust. The only down side is not there fault , and that it was quiet when we stayed. Plus the road outside was being reworked . Beer and food prices were all reasonable, we visited another resort and found out how good they were. So I do recommend it . I took my wife and two teenage girls and even though it was quiet we would all happily stay again."

"This is a lovely place that we picked because of its proximity to Kilimanjaro Airport. We only stayed one night but I would be happy to stay longer if we were going to be in the area. I liked the bush-like appearance of the grounds. Everything was top-notch. Food was great. As to seeing the mountain--not in the cards that day. I highly recommend the facility"

"Very spa-like hotel. Beautiful rooms with a cottage like appearance.. The estate is so beautiful, you can take walks to admire the garden-like landscape. Dining room is beautiful also. Staff very friendly and helpful."

"With such a low daily cost, I was worried it would be minimal. But to my pleasant surprise, the room I was given was very modern looking. It had its own bathroom, and plugs for charging along with strong WiFi. Nice comfortable queen sized bed and a bunk bed. Deborah and her husband were very attentive hosts. They arranged transportation to the airport for me. The meals were low priced, tasty and plentiful. The compound has a basketball court as advertised. There were also fruit trees and flowers scattered about. I was there for a week to get over the flu and it was perfect. The one drawback was the loss of electricity every other day for a few hours, but if you keep your phone charged up, it is not an issue."

"Kiboko Lodge is beautiful and quiet with a warm and welcoming staff. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is beyond accommodating and amazing. They were so kind and helpful and arranged a driver to take us into Arusha the next day. We booked this lodge very last minute and when we arrived at 11pm they had an entire feast ready for us. Even late at night when we had issues with the power, they accommodated us so that we could charge our devices. I cannot stress how beautiful and special this lodge was. It very much exceeded our expectations. I do think itโs important to note that while it says itโs only 12 miles away from the JRO airport, it took about an hour and a half to arrive there. The roads mostly up to the lodge are unpaved and very bumpy. Luckily a taxi was able to get us there but I think a Land Cruiser is best for the terrain, as some of the roads could be impassible with a regular vehicle. I would still rate this place as peaceful and excellent, but it is helpful info to know. We will definitely return to Kiboko!"

"Had a last minute booking and Didas was at the airport when we arrived despite some flight adjustments. He and the staff are kind and accommodating. The lodging is a little small but sufficient for 1/2 people not intending to be in the room all day. The property is nice but rain will get you as you move about. The restaurant is a great amenity when you get back late/ don't want to go search town for food. Breakfast is complimentary and was good each morning. "

"This experience far exceeded my expectations. My stay at Moyoni was due to a long layover in Kilimanjaro. The hospitality shown by staff, the high quality food in the restaurant and my room, with its stunning view, made the whole stay unforgettable. Highly recommended."

"Don't let the ride there dictate what you're going to think of the hotel because trust me the right there is really brutal but it is so so so so so worth it extremely beautiful the hotel itself is exceptional staff are very good I greatly enjoyed it I would show you some of the pictures but apparently there's no way to do that but I'm telling you it's worth it"
