"This is truly an outstanding hotel in Sri Lanka. The resort spreads out along a large lake with view points in the trees with views that will take your breath away - one evening we could hear the elephants on the other side of the lake - wonderful The entire area is well laid out with brick pathways taking in every inch so walking along these well maintained routes is lovely after an evening meal. The restaurant is fabulous with at least 5 separate areas of food laid out for everyone to try. I would like to mention Thakshila who took amazing care of me and introduced me to various new taste sensations - some were “different” but most were delicious. The pool is huge and the staff were welcoming and attentive. All in all my stay at Cinnamon Lodge was outstanding. If you visit Habarana - there really is only one place to stay"

"Great hotel in a beautiful location. We only stayed one night, but could have stayed longer. The pools looked fantastic and well cleaned. We had an excellent meal, and then played pool on the table next to the bar! The hotel is trying hard to be eco, and we had a very interesting bathroom surrounded by plants in the shower, and an open air roof - covered by mesh to stop anything nasty getting in! We watched a fantastic sunset whilst drinking cocktails. Very memorable. Staff were lovely."

"A little bit of frustration as it could be a gem, but the attention to details in the room make it average. Service was excellent, food was superb and properly priced, rooms were big and well designed, the flaw lies in the attention to details. Mosquito marks on the walls, cracks not plastered, gaps in doors that allowed bugs and animals (geckos and frogs) to come inside, mosquito net in shower room with wide gaps…I would be expecting this not to happen in a 4 star hotel"

"Spent two nights, 3 days at this property recently while touring around at Pinnawela, Sigiriya, Dambulla and Minneriya. Great location to visit all those sites. Excellent service with a smile. Buffets were plentiful and delicious, great variety. Pool was so relaxing and lush gardens that were well kept really felt like paradise. Disappointed after Covid there is no spa/massage option as that would have been perfect. Stayed in a large room with separate room with door. 2 adults, 3 teens. Teens loved the food, pool and lush gardens. Special mention to Ravi and Felix who were very attentive to us during our stay."
