The place so run down and smelt of smoke in the room . the bed side tables had cigarette burns on them. the shower door was hard to open and closed and couldnt get the tv to work for awhile not all the free to air channels came up frustrating,

Essendon motel is in a great location, just off the Bulla Rd exit. The rooms are quiet, despite being close to the freeway. The blankets/doona are light, so for a cold night we needed to run the heating all night. Recommend bringing extra blankets if you can.

Book somewhere else if possible

It was ok, but extremely dated and in need of renovations. I wouldn't have been comfortable staying here solo, door lock was dodgy, and it felt a bit dodgy in general, but it was ok for two mates needing a cheap nights rest.

This property is rundown and is in serious need of renovation or detonation, when I last stayed there be it circa 2004 a client I consulted too accomadated here, nothing has been changed since then bedding, curtains, bathroom, tea and coffee facility, never stay here again, I should have realised when the accommodation is so cheap,

Beds were comfy, water pressure was good but the state of the shower was awful - mould, repair & maintenance of the bathroom is desperately needed. Doors need a good scrub as they were grotty & the entry door handle & lock were quite flimsy. Lots of potential just needs a lot of maintenance.
