It was 2 blocks to the convention centre where we were working at the home show for the weekend. And also nice and close to South Melbourne market great spot for breakfast and shopping.

The property was clean and well positioned. A couple of points to note though:
1. The shower head put out a very poor spray. A text to the manager pointing this out on Day 1 when unanswered for the entire week.
2. There were 3 smallish coffee mugs and the glasses weren't much bigger than shot glasses.
3. There was no linen for the pull out sofa when we wanted to lie on it to watch TV.
Otherwise not bad for the price paid.
The room was filthy! Their is mould in the kitchen and bathroom. It would be good if someone showed some pride in their work. The rooms have stains everywhere and the bathroom has the fan above the toilet which is covered in dust so when you go to the toilet nothing but dust falls on you. Not to mention the shower leaks so after your shower when you want to use the toilet clean the floor!

walking distance every where
The room booked was not ready so they place us next door at the Aria hotel which had a great look out at the city. swimming pool and spa etc, great stay, washing machine and dryer in room with air conditioning.
walked everywhere in city and came back each day to sleep. Thanks Melbourne.
Nice hotel, central and right near two tram stops.
Central to most things, and easy to get places. The hotel was nice, however a little confusing at first with not being able to check into the hotel, until someone arrives with the key (Whilst there is someone at the desk) you have to wait outside of the hotel until the second person comes with the keys.
After paying an excessive amount for one night stay, I arrived to find I was shifted to another apartment further up the road.
When I arrived, I was taken to the apartment to find the carpets had just been cleaned and the smell was so bad I had to open all the windows and doors to ventilate. I complained on the spot and was told there was no other rooms.
When it got cold - I tried to turn on the air conditioning, but it did not work on heat.
I then turned on the main bedroom light to find it continuously flickered and could not be used.
The main bedroom also had the smoke detector disconnected and hanging from the roof.
I then had a shower, to find someone else's used towel hanging behind the door.
This is by-far the worst place I have stayed in my travels ever!!!
There was no hot water for 2 days due to a pipe leak in the building. It was impossible to sleep because there was an industrial blower running non-stop day and night, right outside my room for the duration of my 7 night stay. The traffic noise was also very loud. The check in procedure is very awkward - you have to phone them and arrange a time to get let in (but they don't tell you this, you have to figure it out yourself). The bedroom overheats every afternoon and the aircon in the lounge does not help to cool the bedroom. It's not a hotel and there are no staff there. I wouldn't stay here ever again.
