"Stayed in room 3 (castals) large room. With en-suite four poster bed and furniture to match the room. Breakfast served in the conservatory, staff excellent, breakfast served promptly, good choice and sets you up for a day in Bath. Downhill walk into bath but public transport available if required 4 minutes away. Honesty bar available, rooms cleaned daily with tea, coffee and biscuits replaced daily. This is a beautiful house run by very friendly and professional staff"

"Last minute booking. Very much enjoyed my stay. The room was lovely: quite, clean, comfortable, great location. Was a bit reserved about the shared bathroom set up but I did not have any issues accessing it when I wanted to. Breakfast was delicious. "The bedroom was ok, but bathroom left a lot to be desired, less than a third of a toilet roll no spare, no glasses glass or plastic to clean your teeth, bath panel cracked, toilet needs a lot of bleach in it for it to be clean, soap dispenser in shower not working. Had a shower went from nice warm water to cold. Bed was comfortable and nice white towels. Room 4 right above the bar can be noisy would we stay again? No."

"We enjoyed our stay here. I spoke to the host on the phone as we arrived early and wanted to parking advice. He was so kind and explained in detail how to get to the car park and recommendations around Bath. The room was clean and comfortable. You can hear people walking around but that’s to be expected in an old home. "

"Wonderful three night stay. Our room was super comfortable and clean. The property was really pretty landscaped with lots of bunnies. Breakfast had a large menu included ranging from full English, smoked fish and plenty of other options. We really like we could walk into town 30 minutes as we walk slow. The path runs along the river and longboats. We took the train into Bath to avoid having to drive and park. That was a big reason why we chose Widbrook. "

"Rather a quirky place on the edge of Bristol. There is a bus stop right outside, very convenient, took about 40 minutes into city centre so no parking to worry about. Our room was rather dark with heavy wood and colour scheme, but well enough equipped, although there was a considerable amount of traffic noise. Tiny shower and diy breakfast (plenty of it). The owner was away but the gentleman who welcomed us was very friendly and chatty. This was not a luxury stay but fine for a stopover. "

"The pub/hotel is on the Main Street across from the petrol station so we expected it to be noisy but thankfully it wasn’t in the room. You check in at the bar which can be problematic if you bring your luggage in with you as it can be packed with bar patrons. The rooms are in a separate building which is quite new, parking is first come first serve for both hotel and general public so we had to park down the street until we could find one closer. Dinner at the pub was good, but recommended that...
