"This is definitely not a 4 stars hotel. It must be a 2 stars boutique homestay instead. Room is too small for 2 king bed. Bathroom is too small with old shower stall. Old furniture and squeaking wood floor. Felt unwelcome by the management. Definitely not happy stay and not recommend to others. "

"The staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast in the morning. Comfortable Room. Melville shopping centre nearby about a 15 minute walk and area felt safe to me. Using uber is a good way to go to areas further out. Very much enjoyed the days tours organised by the guesthouse with tour guide Ephraim. I recommend 84th on 4th Guesthouse as a very nice place to stay in Johannesburg."

" The room was clean however the safe did not work. I did not feel as there was no visible security on site on the night that I stayed there. The rooms are not sound proof. If you like the sound of passing traffic and the sounds of people fornicatting. I would suggest you pass then. There was no back up electricity as there was load shedding (no electricity) at the time. The breakfast selection was bland and the selection was minimal. "

"Ola the manager was the star. Infact all the staff are friendly and very hospitable. My family had an emergency, Ola took them to the hospital at 11 pm waited and brought them back when I wasn’t around. He was a guardian angel. Such a service only a family member will do. Thank you all very much. Location of the guesthouse is perfect for a tourist. Very close to Campus Square and other eateries. Will recommend it to anyone."

"The room was clean and the location is great, just around the corner from bars. because of Covid, he had no reception anymore, neither breakfast was served but we could just help ourself. which i didn't minded neither. but then all necessary things in the kitchen has to be provided and as well everything should be cleaned every morning, and not only in the afternoon, same as dishwasher, is turned on in the evening, but never emptied. as i did it. but i still would stay again, just because of...
