"When we folded out the couch to make up the bed for my son, there was still a crumb-covered, dirty fitted sheet on the bed and there were wrappers and a dirty pillowcase on the floor inside the couch. The couch mattress also still had firm plastic wrapped around it that was noisy when my son tried to sleep.
The bathroom did not have surfaces to hang or set things on, which was very difficult for four of us with toiletry bags and clothing we needed to hang up while taking a shower. A few hooks or a countertop / shelf that could hold items would have been very helpful.
Also, we were given an accessible room, and when we flipped on a light switch upon arrival, it set off a deafening alarm. I'm sure it was some kind of safety feature for the room, but the switch wasn't labeled in any way and was located inside the door to the room, so it was very frightening."
"I was excited to stay there because it looked cozy! However, my experience started off bad from check in. I told the lady I had already did the online check in through Expedia and paid. It said that I should be able to pick up my keys and go. Well, she made me go through the whole process again. Plus, she said I had to give them $100 in cash for a deposit. I have given deposits before but it’s never had to be in cash. So that felt weird, but once we go to the room. I got an email saying I was charged again. I checked my bank account and I was charged twice for the room and it was different amounts. When I called about it, the lady said she would refund it but it would take 8-10 business days so between the cash deposit and being charged twice, I had almost $400 tied up. I went with this hotel because the price was affordable and ended up unable to use most of my spending money for the trip. Then, at check out, the lady had to check to make sure we cleaned our room completely (which we did!) before she would give us back the $100 cash. It felt like they were trying to find a reason to keep it, but they couldn’t. Also, we were on the 2nd floor and it feels like you are going to fall through the floor walking down the hallway. "
