I stayed here for three weeks, and it is a great hotel. It is located just a couple of blocks from the central plaza of Merida, and there are tons of eating, shopping, and studying options nearby. The rooms are clean and the wifi is strong. Most importantly, all of the staff were very kind and friendly. I highly recommend this excellent hotel!!!

Solid value

Place looks gorgeous from the lobby. Room was solid. Staff was extremely nice. If you are super sensitive to noise and trying to go to sleep early I wouldn’t go on a weekend but otherwise solid value!

This is the cheapest hotel in the area, $33 dls a day, c’mon that’s crazy cheap and please don’t expect to get everything perfect, we runout of hot water for a little bit of time and the bathroom is kind of small, nothing is fancy here but the swimming pool is clean and nice, the staff are very friendly once you open up to them, otherwise they’re just reserved, respectful and quiet. If you have money to spend get a 5 star hotel, but if you want to save money to spend in food, tequila and archeological visits, San Juan is a great choice.

Our room was right next to a dancing social club and music did not stop playing around 1:30am. I wish I would have known and asked for a room further away. Aside from that the room was comfortable and lots to do within walking distance.

The good: Great location if you want to be in the historic center of the city. Walkable to restaurants and shopping. Contrary to the common Mexican mattress, their mattresses were not hard as a rock, instead they were comfortable to sleep in. They have a parking lot if you need it. The bad: There's a a bar with really good food and music right next to the hotel. They play loud music, so I would not recommend the hotel for a light sleeper. If you don't mind going to sleep to salsa music, then this is a good hotel. The pool was closed the entire time due to a never-ending cleaning treatment. Overall, I would stay here again.

Plumbing issues

This would be a great place if they fixed the plumbing issues. If it was only my room, i do not know, but the toilet flush was poor quality, hot water was lacking and the tap came off in my hand due to corrosion. Hot water point-- it seems at all the hotels i stayed at luke warm water is considered hot water. Everythjng else about the hotel was great. Comfortable bed, great location, friendly staff.

Hay días que No hay agua caliente… solo hay como 5 lugares de estacionamiento nada más (para todo el hotel)… está a lado de un bar, del que escuchas toda la fiesta toda la noche. Si tienes sueño ligero, No es la opción. La ubicación si es super buena. En la esquina hay un parque emblemático, y mucho movimiento, para caminar. El zócalo está a 3 cuadras.

Habitación vieja, el WC no descargaba bien, el wifi no funcionaba todo el tiempo, no utilice la alberca porque estaba sucia, nunca vi que la limpiaran, la limpieza del baño deja mucho qué desear. Del servicio en recepción ni hablar, no se como gente así puede trabajar en recepcion donde 0 skills para atención al cliente. No volveré había otras opciones cerca de la zona!!!

Un excellent rapport qualité/prix. Très bien situé avec une belle grande piscine et du personnel charmant. Seul petit bémol, le soir on entend bcp la musique des bars aux alentour. Personnellement cela ne m’a pas du tout dérangée mais mieux savoir !
