"The room was big enough and clean and the bed was good. However, the temperature was much to high. The mobile fan had no effect(just moving the warmth) en was noisy. I missed the fridge and I would have expected more than a bottle of soap in the bathroom since the price for the room was relatively high."

"Fantastic location right on the seafront. Easy parking, friendly staff. Restaurant is pleasant, food is average but reasonably priced. Rooms are comfortable- furniture is slightly tired. Tip - sea view rooms have a wonderful view "

"Fantastic staff we had a little problem with our room which couldn’t get fixed right away so got a room change/upgrade. Dinner and breakfast onsite was very nice "

The Hope Hotel

"We had an amazing one night stay here. Family Room on the top floor, fantastic view of the sea and great for people watching. Toilet is down the hall, not that clean and fresh feeling. Showers down a floor, fine. Incredibly good value for such an amazing location right in the heart of things. We tried to stay a second night but unfortunately that room was booked and we were offered a room on the first floor but it seemed like it would be really noisy right over the pub. Seems like your experience really relies on getting a good room - and we really did. Can't wait to go back. "

"Best location for hotel in Southend. Overall an excellent hotel , especially the family room is very good. The receptionist stored our baggage so we can go out and wonder about as we got there before the 3pm Check-in time. Also at check out time 12pm they stored our luggage in hotel so we can pick up later which was kind of them."
