"Lovely hotel situated at the top of a steep hill overlooking the bay. The views are to die for making the short walk from Mevagissey, well worth it. There is a lovely path through gardens which takes the steepness out of the hill and plenty of seats along the way. Arrival at the hotel was exceptional, was able to park the car outside the hotel.Arrived a little early, which was no problem as we were met by Sam who offered us a nice cold drink and was able to sit on the terrace admiring the views. Sam took us to our room, after giving us a tour of the dining room, bar and lounge, which was overlooking the bay, where we were lucky enough to see dolphins in the bay. Room was exceptionally clean and modern, newly refurbished and stunning views. Coffee machine, tea making facilities. Bottle of water and cookies was also a nice touch. Bathroom was exceptionally clean with lovely walk-in shower. Comfortable bed which provided a restful night sleep. Food was exceptional stayed on a bed and breakfast basis arriving on a Sunday with evening meal optional on Sunday and Monday of our stay. Evening meal was freshly cooked with a nice choice available and again lovely views of the bay. Breakfast was also freshly cooked with a great choice. Food was stunning and service was exceptional. Had a good free internet access. There was lots of information available for taxis and local attractions. Highly recommend this small and friendly hotel. Thank you Sam, Roy and staff for a wonderful stay."
"It was very relaxing and enjoyable the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good and the pool was just as we remembered it looking out side apart from the trees were bigger and this time we sat out side in the sun just like going abroad but a lot cheaper. "
"The view is great. Apart from that, it looks “quirky but cute” online but in reality it’s just awkward and uncomfortable. The ceilings are low and sloped. The bunk beds are not suitable for teenagers do to the low ceiling and the mattresses are very uncomfortable. You have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the bunk room. The floors are uneven and there is an odd 1 inch step between the rooms which is just a trip hazard. The bathroom is clean but sparse, not even a box of tissues. There is no dishwasher, so everything needs to be hand washed. There is a washing machine, but no dryer (problematic if you are traveling with carryon and assuming you can wash clothes) The WiFi is ridiculously slow. Make dinner reservations in advance of arriving because there are few restaurants and they were all booked on a Wednesday night. We booked for 2 nights but checked out after 1 night."
"Clean and nicely planned room on waterfront. Its just a few rooms above a restaurant so easy to find food. I arrived by boat from Fowey which made it extra fun."
