This is the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel. Each time it seems to be better and is my go to budget hotel in Mexico City. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bathrooms are clean with lots of hot water for the shower. Only some rooms have air-conditioning, but I have never found it to be uncomfortable in the rooms with fans. The restaurant is excellent. It is a short walk to Zocolo and the historic centre as well as subway station I like that is a short taxi ride to the airport

The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. However, the room was stuffy. There is no air conditioning. There was a tall appliance in a corner that may have something to cool the room but the bell boy didn't say anything about it and I didn't try it. It is convenient to many area attractions. I was only there one night so it was adequate.

The best screaming deal ever. For the equivalent (as of 1/6/24) of $50 USD I got two nights, in a big room with two large beds, decent size bathroom, safe, and free water. Yes it was a bit bare bones: about 8 oz. worth of threadbare towels and no soap dish. But very clean and OK where it counts: comfortable beds with nice thick pillows. Nobody spoke English except the manager, but the staff was exceptionally nice and friendly. The restaurant was basic but the food was good and served very fast. You can get a room with breakfast included but it's small. Really great location, too, near a subway station and kitty corner from the historic San Miguel Arcangel cathedral. If you go, and don't speak Spanish, brush up on your tourist phrases or use Google Translate. My 80 days on Duolingo served me fine. Definitely I would stay here again, five stars.

This is a good location for me as there are many stores located within a six-block radius. I am a buyer for other stores. My room was largeand the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was laid out conveniently so I had a full shower. The only negative comment was noise coming from a central courtyard where machinery was located. Loud noise could still be heard with windows closed.

Family Stay At Castropol
Excellent safe hotel. Full of families and five minutes walking distance from the Zocalo. Onsite restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Hotel was clean and the staff were excellent. Highly recommend. You will be in the heart of the historic district if you stay here.

They did not allow my friend to enter my room to help me pack my luggage at 11 am. Hot water cannot be controlled. I asked them to fix it but they did not.

This hotel was definitely a diamond in the rough. Since it’s in the Centro, it was so close to so many tourist areas such as the zocalo, palacio nacional, templo mayor, Bellas Artes museum and the Latinoamericana Tower. It had a late check-out and the staff was friendly. It also has a restaurant in the hotel which was nice and affordable. The only bummer was that they don’t have a laundry facility on-site. But that was just something I prefer. In all, a good hotel for the price and location.

Great Value for the Money
The hotel is a bargain. It is very clean and the staff is helpful and polite. The restaurant ranges from good to very good, but sometimes the service can be indifferent. If you get a room facing the street, wear earplugs. Pino Suarez is a very busy and boisterous boulevard. The entrance to the hotel can be awkward for taxis and Uber. The hotel is near the Pino Suarez metro stop, and that is convenient.

The Hotel was close to public transportation. The facility was clean and the staff was friendly. I thought free breakfast was included, not sure if I needed to ask at check in or purchase some other way but I was told free breakfast wasn’t part of what I paid for. Restaurant breakfast was good and affordable. I would consider this Hotel again on transportation and landmark accessibility.
