"The room was clean, with a big double balcony overlooking the esplanade. The bed was comfy and housekeeping were attentive. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pool was well maintained - small but ideal for cooling off after a long day exploring the area. Kitchen facilities were as advertised, no cooker but a microwave and full size fridge. Muddys cafe over the road is ideal for a coffee, breakfast or evening bite."

"Had a great 12 days at Cairns Colonial Club over the recent school holidays. The kids enjoyed the pool area and making new friends every day. The convenience of a cafe, bar, pizza place and also breakfast buffet were great to integrate across our holiday when we weren’t out sight seeing. The rooms were always cleaned regularly and well, the staff always so helpful. Would be great to have slightly better storage solutions in the room, as we lived out of the suitcases instead of being able to put clothes away in a draw. Other than that - highly recommend and would love to visit again on our next trip up."

"Friendly staff during checkin and checkout. Good amenities include all available in the kitchen. There is also a public kitchen with hotplate and stove beside the pool and spa, excellent for outdoor bbq.High efficient washer and drier ate in our room and made our stay much easier."

"We liked our stay at the coral sand resort. The kids loved the pool. It was quiet during the night what I very much appreciated. The resort looked like advertised and the room was spacious. I would have preferred 1 more set of towels as 1 towel per person wasn't enough for 6 night stay and the balcony need a bit of a clean, buf otherwise we very much enjoyed our stay."

"This property was being renovated at the time of our stay. The staff was great! They gave great suggestions on dining and activities. They were always available. We were close to the esplanade which borders the mud lake and lots of public park activities all the way down to the marina. We felt very safe there."
