"The views from this hotel are among the very best in the city and its location is very central to so many things. We went to a comedian event at the Fox which was very close and the next day went to Eastern Market which was very close and convenient to get to from this hotel as well. Currently there is major construction going on on the main street of "Greektown." Additionally the Detroit People Mover was under construction and not operational (I wish there had been some warning of this). Neither issue is really a hotel issue, but I want potential visitors to know what to expect. The hotel itself is a 10/10."

"The staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly. We talked about their history and what my husband and I were celebrating, our 15th anniversary and how we met. Talking with the sister/owners was like talking with family. Glad to have owners who know the history of the city of Detroit and it's neighborhoods. We had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying our beautiful accommodations. The breakfast was delicious."

"I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Inn at 97 Winder. The staff were phenomenal—so friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the building’s history and the surrounding area. They really made the experience feel special and personal. The rooms were gorgeous, with a charming, slightly kitschy character that added to the unique atmosphere. More importantly, everything was spotless, comfortable, and incredibly cozy—it felt like a true retreat. I can’t wait to come back to Detroit, and honestly, I’d return just for another stay at this inn. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable and welcoming place to stay!"
