Let me start off on the positive notes. This is an architecturally amazing resort with lots of fantastic restaurants, bars and pools. The food is unbelievably superb with plenty of restaurants to choose from. A big shout out to our lovely Joy advisors Lola and Rahman who helped us via a WhatsApp group for all our needs. Other amazing staff, Ahmet from Secret and Tufan from Sorisso were so lovely and amazing! They spoke English and were very helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, other staff we encountered at Lujo struggled to understand English and so made it difficult from time to time.
My partner and I booked the all inclusive package which I think is the standard for this place. However, beware! not all is inclusive and it’s not made clear upon arrival what is and isn’t. Some staff will connive you into buying drinks/other things that aren’t on the package list. Language barrier is a huge big problem at this resort, although the staff are lovely their English is very limited so a lot gets lost in translation. From arrival we as guests had felt lost with everything.
One horrible incident that left us uneasy throughout our trip was a night at Shibori restaurant where a man with a moustache offered a wine that would go nice with the meal but we were never informed that it’s off the package. After 1.5 bottles we were presented with a bill of €400!! With service charge. We were shocked and confused why we were forced to sign this!
