"LOVED this place. If you want to be just outside the old city, this is a wonderful option. It is not down in the frenzy of the old city. Rather, it is on a hill, just about a 10-minute walk from the main action. You'll get a nice reprieve each evening when you get home. It is a spacious and new property. Good parking options. "Summer Dream was the best hotel we could ask for. It was extremely modern, great view, and the town of Rethymno has a wonderful downtown area. If you go, I recommend Achinos, I believe it is spelled. The best food we had in Greece. Summer dream is also located next to many markets including SKYNKA, which is walking distance. I would absolutely recommend staying here. It was the best part of our trip in Crete. "
