"I loved it! Despite not speaking much Japanese I had a great time. It was really easy to get to from Yufuin station by taxi since there’s a taxi stand right there. The only hard part is if you don’t have a car, getting to and from the station once the front desk closes is somewhat difficult. I brought food with me and snacks before arriving. The water temperature is perfect and the room I rented was beautiful!"

But terrible points are, no elevator, need to get heavy luggage upstairs, need to charge 1000 yen if you need to keep luggage there for a couple of hours after check out, hot spring bath available at limited time period , and the smell of the new wood in the room have give a bad day for those who are sensitive to smell, just like those people don’t smoke cannot tolerate smoking room.
