"This is a pleasant 3* hotel. Room was fine, but nothing fancy. Our room had a balcony. Parking is under the hotel, and can be reached by the elevator. Hotel is well located - about a block (through a "tunnel") from the central square. Room could have used more lighting. Desk clerk (Lucia) very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again."

"This is a very posh, small (24 room) 5* hotel, located right in the center of the small town of Banska Stiavnica. We were the only guests that night, because the hotel had blocked reservations to get organized for the summer season (and forgot to block Expedia). The hotel owner was working the desk, and was extremely friendly and helpful. There is convenient and secure parking under the hotel. There are a few tourist attractions in town (most interesting - the mine tour) and there are other sights within a 30 minute drive. Definitely a lovely place to stay."

"The property was amazing. Imagine staying in a a castle with hundreds of years of history. Designed to protect against mongolian,Turkish and all other kinds of invaders. The restoration is extensive and the care that went into it really shows"

"Fantastic hotel with amazing location & views overlooking Banska Stiavnica. Rooms were on a private terrace with outdoor furniture allowing you enjoy the sunrise or sunset in private. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff at the hotel ..."
