"With a trout hatchery and fishing stream on the property, this is not your usual hotel! They offer a variety of accommodations, from a covered wagon, to a cabin with a gas fire ring and chairs or rustic but updated rooms there’s something for everyone. Definitely would stay again. "

"The new owners are renovating the rooms on the hotel side. The beds were comfortable. Not too hard and not too soft. Same for the pillows. The fridge was probably older than I am but it still worked really well. The only little gripe I have was the painting we had in our room was a little too big. Kept bumping into it to get to the bathroom."

"Staff really nice Room was pretty dusty and furniture scraped - but with that said, we had what we needed Was in the family sized room that faces the lake- no light or nightstands by the smaller bed The larger bed was nice The view from the porch was great Looked like they were in the process of working on updgrades so guessing it will visually be nicer in next year. Staff was friendly. Location cant beat- across from Nicelys and close to Tioga Pass"

"Buyer beware. When I booked, the property was listed as being close to Yosemite. When it came time to navigate from the park, our drive would have been over five hours! I called them to cancel and their response was, “well you can cancel, but you’re not getting a refund.” We were there at the end of April in beautiful weather so I didn’t expect any road closures. If you are going to book here, be sure to check maps first."

"Wanted to love this hotel. All went well initially, the hotel was almost empty for my Thursday check in…but the staff chose to put a couple in the room right next to mine when the hotel was almost empty otherwise. The couple was loud till ~11 pm then I had to listen to them having s*x first thing in the morning through the thin walls. Staff could have easily spread the guests out amongst their rooms but did not. Cleaning crew was also extremely loud in the mining: not the work they were doing(that would be understandable), but talking and yelling loudly. Not a lot of respect for guests’ peace and quiet in this otherwise tranquil environment."
