Fortunately, the host had good restaurant suggestions. We loved sitting by the pool, although it wasn’t heated, so too cold to use in April. We did love using the indoor heated pool and hot tub each day. We had a fabulous time and hope to go back someday! "

"Monica was the friendliest most enthusiastic host we’ve stayed with. Everything from her greeting to the amazing breakfast was perfect. She does a lot of baking, so the breakfast was really a treat and you could also get eggs cooked in various ways. The room was a little small but very comfortable. "This is a fabulous place to stay! The location is a hike from the train station if you walk to the hotel, but the it is a good orientation to the major sites. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed with two comfortable lounging chairs and a comfortable bed. The hotel, recently renovated, is furnished with antiques. There is a library, several comfortable lounging areas, a bar, and a dining area for breakfast (one of the best we have had). The outstanding feature is the garden terrace that overlooks a treed valley and the distant hills. Very highly recommended."
