Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"As a mom traveling with young children, I really wish I had read a review like this.
This trip was far more stressful than relaxing because of the service, lack of attentiveness, and overall experience with kids. Jamaica they don’t worry about nothing.. things move slowly, food options open late, and when we arrived there was almost nowhere open to eat. We ordered room service and it took nearly 3 hours and that’s the norm.
The biggest issue was the attitude from many employees. Staff often seemed annoyed or bothered, requests were forgotten, and things we ordered frequently never came. As a mom traveling with little kids, I hoped to feel cared for at least a little, but instead felt like we were inconveniencing people by asking for basics.
There were also several concerns for families:
- Pool floors are extremely slippery
- Large step in the room that felt unsafe for little kids
- High chairs often unavailable
- Baby items advertised were “not available”
Housekeeping often felt more like rearranging items than actual cleaning.
Beach vendors were very persistent and approached children directly selling items, including drugs. Some continued with sad stories after being told no. One vendor had profanity painted on his boat.
The food was underwhelming, staff called the room during naps/bedtime, and the coffee shop constantly ran out of basics.
Positives: the ocean view was beautiful, and the kid-sized buffet/play area at check-in was thoughtful

"This resort has been nothing but amazing to me and my sisters! We are so grateful for the staff. Honest and sweet people. One of my sisters left her money by accident in her room when she checked out and someone called her right away to let her know she left it and that they will find a way get her money back to her. The resort was also so nice, organized and they also had so much good food! We cannot wait to come back. Thank you so much. "
"The staff was very attentive to my needs. Michael the bartender is especially good at his job. I loved every minute of my stay. Definitely will stay there again. This is a great place for a solo trip for women. The food is good too!"

10/10 Excellent
"The property was beautiful and clean, the staff was friendly and courteous. They were pretty quick to handle any situations such as a faulty AC. The food was very fresh and delicious . The only problem was the bartenders had a very light pour. Most drinks were definitely less than one ounce of liquor, even if you ordered a double. All in all a great stay otherwise."
Hotel Riu Montego Bay - Adults Only - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"A sign from the main road to direct you to the hotel would be helpful. My original room was not 100% clean. They switched us to another room with no issues.
There is no room serve option at rhis resort, which was inconvenient for us as we wanted to sleep in and relax the morning of our anniversary. It's hard to make reservations at any of the à la carte restaurants. We were able to make a reservation at the steakhouse. The food was okay. There was a massive food selection in the main dining hall. As a Caribbean person, I found they used jerk chicken to make stew chicken, which was a bit off. Probably a kichen chef hack to ensure the food isn't wasted. They need to offer more of a drink selection during dinner, as you couldn't get any mixed cocktails, only wine, beer, and champagne. The staff were friendly and attentive in the dining hall.
The entertainment was lively. We saw a tribute to Michael Jackson show and the nightclub was fun. The beach is clean with a lot of seating. Beach umbrellas would be nice.
Overall, it was a nice stay for three nights. I'd probably want to see what the other Riu locations have to offer before returning to this one."

"Wonderful resort with great food, wonderful people, plenty of fun activities and just a great overall experience! We will definitely be back in the near future! There is nothing I can complain about and the fact you have 3 resorts to explore is tremendous. A little older crowd but fantastic experience!"
