"I did the pre-check in but they still did not have my paper work printed and still had to show my ID and credit card. Check in took longer than it should have. Then the pool was freezing cold. We got back to our room to turn on the TV but it did not work. Called the front desk, they could not get it to work. There appeared to be a camera attached to the front of the TV. That was disturbing. The tub leaked and flooded the floor. The thermostat did not work, and there was clear jelly stuff stuck to the shower wall. The serve and amenities were AWEFUL!!!! I will not go back and I am pushing forward to request reimbursement."

"We recently stayed overnight at Fox Lake Lodge, before we even arrived the staff was the nicest and very accommodating, great communication up to arrival. The place had everything we needed, very nice, clean and spacious on the inside. Overall I would highly recommend, they are newer and getting started and they didn’t a beat. "

"Property is dated. Could use some updates and landscaping work. New luggage carts are a must. "

"It was just okay. We were just in town for a night and didn't use any of the amenities. They looked pretty cool though. It would probably be a good place for kids. There were sketchy looking people rummaging through the dumpster out back on two occasions, which was sort of alarming. There were also some curious looking stains on one of the fitted sheets. They brought me a new one promptly when asked though. The breakfast was just okay. Eggs tasted a little off. No meat option. Otherwise not terrible. Overall, it got the job done and I don't regret staying here. "

"It definitely served our needs for one night while passing through. It looks like it used to be a pretty major hotel back in its day (glass elevator overlooking what probably used to be an indoor pool.) It’s now tiled over and looks like a huge reception hall surrounded by rooms that overlook it. Our room was quite spacious! The building could use some TLC, but I noticed some things have been updated. (Bathroom tile and vanity). The free continental breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, muffins, bagels, 2 waffle machines, etc) was nice and well staffed. They also provided us with 10% off coupons to use in the attached restaurant “JJ Winns” which was convenient and busy with local patrons. The portions were good sized! "
