The hotel is in a very convenient and safe location, and the staff were helpful. However, our “standard room” was tiny, and the TV didn’t work. Still, we enjoyed our visit to Montréal while staying here.

Our stay at Hotel Quartier des Spectacles was amazing and smooth from start to finish. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Montreal, close to everything. The room was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A special shoutout to Salma at the reception! She was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and kind. Her warm attitude truly made a difference and added a personal touch to our experience. Highly recommend this hotel! Will definitely be back!

Pros: great location, clean, reasonable price, friendly staff Cons: building is old with no central air conditioning, so each room is equipped with a portable AC unit, which can be loud for some; no parking onsite, which adds an extra cost if you have a car; rooms facing the street (St. Catherine) can be loud if there are buskers playing outside at night; continental breakfast consists of brown & white Wonder Bread and a few kinds of cereal and coffee only It may seem like a lot of cons but the pros outweighed the cons for us for sure.

The room was clean including bathroom. I travelled with an infant and it was safe and hygienic . Location is convenient and walkable distance to restaurants as well. I stayed here to visit my sister’s graduation which was in Place des arts( 3 min walk only). The breakfast was decent and was included in my reservation. Usual amenities like coffee maker, kettle, hair dryer were missing but since I just stayed for a night it did not matter much for us. I feel it’s good enough for the reasonable price we paid. I wasn’t sure if it was the right choice after seeing some reviews but I am glad our experience was positive. There is no elevator. We booked a room with 2 queens and a private bathroom.

Overall, an ok experience, if I’m being generous. The hotel itself was shabby, the room more like a hostel room than a hotel. One had to go through an open rooftop to get to the annex D. I’d look elsewhere. In my case, the location was important and this hotel offered a decent price for the location in the city. Close to old port, so that was a plus. I am not sure if I would stay here again. In the interest of full disclosure, the room, bathroom, towels, sheets and amenities were clean. Hotel staff helped me out by printing a document in the last minute - 5* for that.
