7/10 Good! (6 reviews)
Great location, affordable apartment for a large group. Metro link directly outside the door to connect you to Newcastle. Apartment in great condition and would recommend this place.
Check in was difficult as you need to communicate with host over phone to retrieve the code to access the key but apart from that it was great.
Security deposit usually scares me from booking with places as i have been scammed before but rest assured there is no scamming here, with the host very kind when spoke on the phone.

10/10 Exceptional! (50 reviews)
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in this beautiful boutique hotel. We booked the room overlooking the Cathedral which was stunning. The room was really large and immaculately designed. The gentleman who checked us in was so friendly and helpful. The walk was no more than 10 minutes to the centre.
We were so impressed with this hotel and Durham we would definitely come back.

"Visited on a weekend and there were so many different functions going on that it was too busy and noisy. Really not worth the money. Also room was cold and musty and there was mould on the back of curtains"

"Interior did not match exterior. Damaged walls in corridors, poor paintwork in bathroom, dirty stand for wash hand basin. Damaged window in room with large crack but was told by staff that this was outside? Dirty/damaged doorways in ladies changing room for spa/pool. No changing cubicles. Rubbish, ..."
