"Just directly opposite to the beach with free parking. Basic continental breakfast but does the job to fill up. If you have craving for eggs and the full English fork out an extra 5.50 but the basic is decent. It's a Victorian house with the infrastructure still fit for purpose. Housekeeping is everyday which is fantastic. Any misses and the staff would go over and beyond to help you. A big shout-out to Dere and the reception staff who made our stay enjoyable."

The President Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Nice hotel, has a bar with a dance floor and entertainment. Has a lift (not big enough for someone in a wheelchair). Friendly staff, the hotel is deceivingly big, long corridors. Does have an eatery on the 1st floor and another bar. Also has a pool table off the side of the bar on 1st floor. Our room was actually really nice, we had a big bay window looking directly at the sea, really beautiful view. Our room had a sofa looking out at the view, we wished it had a foot stool or table in front though but didn't ultimately matter, would have been a nice touch though. We had 2 single beds together, which was great as we have a superking at home and used to the size. The bed was very comfortable, we slept very well on both nights and the shower was very good too, adjustable temperature and they have utilised the space well. Parking costs £10 per night to be outside the hotel, we haven't come across this before, thought it was a little weird but we respect the hotel is a business and understand it's another revenue stream. Parking roadside either side of the hotel is free though so that's what we did. Our only negative was the radiator didn't work and it was so cold in the mornings, it took us a little longer to get motivated to get out the bed. Overall, we would be happy to stay here again and look forward to get another opportunity to do so."

"We have stayed here before, I payed for a sea veiw room but got a room were we had to keep curtains closed when in room as the imperial hotel was our veiw we could see the sea if I was upto window and looked left could see a bit, couldn't change told it was full and on checking out told it was classed as a side veiw very disappointing and payed £20 extra for it"

"Please avoid at all costs. I’m a traveller who rarely complains but this place is a dump. It’s a Marriott and I’ve never stayed somewhere so poor on so many levels. The response from management was poor. Their generic emails post stay were worse than their mediocre attitude during. Noisy hotel. No sound proofing and people running corridors all night on a Wednesday! Overpriced and poor value for money. Do you and your friends and family proud and avoid this hotel at all costs! Do not waste a penny on this hotel it’s truly awful. Pretty sure all the social media guys will be staying there soon to review it and show exactly how bad it is!"
