Fairmont, Morzine hotels

"Clean room, friendly staff. Great locaton. Just a 5 minute walk to both main lifts and the town centre. Breakfast fresh but not good for a vegan diet. I did let the hotel know in advance but there was very little-just bread and fruit. I asked for beans but they had fixed days for them and wouldn't do them for me on the other days. I bought my own yoghurt and supplies from the local Spar. There is a fridge for guests to use."

"We booked the stay based on very good reviews. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed. Our room had a lovely design, very warm and cosy and spacious. However, the maintenance and amenities were low. The toilet was in a very small room behind a sliding door and the light in it did not work. Upon arrival we told the manager. She said it was some kind of security delay, and the door needs to be closed for a while for it to work. We kept the door closed all night. But still no light in the morning. Asked the manager to fix- she said someone will come that day, but we remained with no light in the toilet all 4 days of our stay. They dont change towels if you dont ask. We had to use some of the towels to dry the floor next to the shower cabin. Found out that the towel drier also does not work, couldnt dry our towels. No one at the reception for hours during the day to ask for new towels. So on 2nd day we washed with wet towels. Only later in the evening we got a hold of the manager for a change of towels. The place was said to have a hot tub. When going skiing, we only book stays with a hot tub! Day after our arrival we went skiing. Came back in the afternoon, and found out the hot tub is completely cold. Asked the manager to turn in on. She said she will. Of course it was not relevant for that day. Next day came back from skiing only to find out it was still off!! Wrote the manager again how disappointed we are, and following that msg, only on our last evening it was fixed."
