Malmo Historic Hotel

"The staff are so helpful in aiding us with a taxi or information about the area. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Location of the hotel couldn’t be better. We could walk to the many shops and cafes easily as well as the lighthouse and water. Chania old town is a charming area. We even walked to the archaeological museum. There is an elevator in the hotel. The breakfast buffet was wonderful but I enjoyed the rooftop seating the best. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you for your hospitality."

"A very convenient hotel super close to (walkable - barely 10 mins) but nicely away from the Old Town. Lovely room - spotlessly clean - and very comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and we were able to park our car in the underground car park. That was such a help. Breakfast was good."
Monastery Estate Venetian Harbor

"Location was excellent - walkable to waterfront in old town and close to lots of restaurants. Our room was in the main building (preferred), and not the one across (need to carry suitcase up the stairs). The room itself was small. Breakfast was excellent, with good egg and non-egg vegetarian options. The property is built around old ruins and the ruin has been showcased, which was special. The staff were very helpful and sweet. The bathroom was a bit awkward. There was not a lot of space to keep things by the sink, but there was space outside the sink area. The shower option was hand shower in an open round tub, which took a bit of adjusting. One could not stand and shower, else the water would splash around. The tub itself was beautiful, but not very practical. There was one time where the water pressure in the commode was not sufficient and it would not flush; had to wait for a bit. There was no cream for coffee in the room, but the restaurant downstairs brought us steaming milk & soy milk upon request, which made our coffee in the room very enjoyable. Overall, recommend this place."

"Exceptional experience. The staff left us sweet little notes daily! The room was cleaned several times a day and the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. We stayed here for a few days on our honeymoon and they gave us a few complimentary drinks. Breakfast was also so delicious. From a logistics standpoint this hotel is in a perfect spot. Minutes away from the main strip in Old Town. Lovely time!"

"Was a pleasure to stay at this hotel during our 5 night stay! The hotel is very close to the old town/harbor where all the action takes place. There there are tons of shops, restaurants and boats to chose from. Next to the hotel is a Hilton property with a great restaurant on the the roof from from where we saw a great sunset one night. The staff of the Samarian are excellent. Always smiling and willing to help you, we had an issue with our iron. When I brought this up it was quickly replaced with a much better one. The food they serve is also very good. We had an excellent beet salad, sandwich and pasta dish. The bourbon and whiskey section they have is also very special. The breakfast that was included in the room rate was served at a nice location (near the pool) had a great variety and was also excellent. I will remember the smiling staff for a long time!"
