"Staff were great, room had a microwave but not enough dishes and no toaster or coffee machine. Balcony did not have a proper privacy screen. No restaurant on the property but Ramada next door was good. The swimming pools were cold no heating."

"This is the place to stay in Port Douglas. Everything is fabulous about By The Sea but it is the staff who make your holiday the absolute best. Friendly, cheerful, helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is excellent & everything is there for you to have a wonderful holiday."

"Great place! Private rooms but shared spaces and kitchen encourages community. Restaurant had great pricing and food, though food took a while. Staff were incredibly friendly, nice clean space in the room and around the property. Great location to everything in port Douglas and Mossman"

"The property is beautiful and well kept. All the common areas were quite nice. Beautiful waterfall and koi pond. The rooms are dated and in need of some refreshing. The carpets are dirty and there isn't much space in the room to put your things, just a small table. The breakfast is basic but has a little of everything. It's the same every day. Which could be a good thing or bad thing based on what you like. The price seemed expensive for what you get but everything in port Douglas is expensive."

"Room was clean, the staff I spoke to was very nice and cheerful, I liked the outdoor kitchen setup. Didn’t use the pool, but it looked very clean and welcoming. I thought some areas could do with a paint touch up, but it didn’t detract. Overall a comfy 3 night stay. Cheers."
