Mount Sterling Hotels from S$80

"Breakfast buffet was sparse. Hotel was dirty and outdated. I was lucky enough to have a room on the side that is against the highway. I'm pretty sure the traffic noise would have been less with the windows open,it was incredibly loud. A lot of the guestsbthis weekend didn't understand the quiet hours concept. Kids running up and down the hallways banging on doors. Upon arrival got to my room no water. Was later explained there was a leak and would be about 30 minutes. Would have been nice if the front desk would have mentioned that while we were checking in. Every time we took a shower the half door thing on the shower directed the water right onto the step of the shower which then promptly poured onto the bathroom floor creating a large puddle. It's my bad for chhoosing this motel. Every motel in town was charging double and triple their normal rates due to the whole Keeneland thing and it's prices seemed reasonable enough. Decent reviews. Live and learn"

"The wing I was in had children yelling and running down the hall until 2am. May look at placing adults in one wing and families with children in another. "

"While the location is perfect the lodge itself needs work. It needs updating and a refreshed clean look. The lounge chairs in the lobby are extremely worn and the warm inviting picture on line is no match to the dingy look. The room felt dark and the bed mattress saggy. Cleaning fine.No hot shower due to multiple fuses blowing. Drippy faucet. Night 2 a breaker went. My husband had advised there was a bigger issue after night 1 but the staff did not follow up acco rding. Breakfast for Continental as advertised quite sufficient. There's a nice bar on site with reasonable priced food available for. Staff courteous and those there did their best in the moment to help. Hot water pot for the tea l brought good. No tea bags in room. Nice little deck off room. Hiking fantastic. ."

"Conditioner and body soap dispensers broke and sitting on floor of shower. Hair on bottle on wall. Washcloth hanging in shower from previous people that stayed in room. Room smelled like a dog wash with perfume. Not hotels fault and front desk tried to take care of it but young kids were running up and down hall screaming. Front desk were very prompt in handling situation "
