"We really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were nice and clean. Pictures online make the rooms seem a bit bigger but we made due just fine. I would’ve appreciated hooks around the room in places because there was no where to hang coats or bags besides the very small area for hanging a few items of clothing. No dresser or anything so a place to hang a few things would’ve been nice. But over all, awesome location, great staff, and nice rooms. "

"This is a charming, old-fashioned hotel in a perfect location. My room had a view of the Union Square Christmas lights. It is not slick or modern: think of it as European and you will see its charms. The room was comfortable with everything you need. They warn you in advance that there's no air conditioning but most of the time in SF you don't need it, and there's a ceiling fan and the windows can be opened. There is always coffee and cookies available in the lobby and the tiny bar was popular, thanks to a two-for-one coupon for guests. The neighborhood seems to be making a comeback after some rough years. It was a lot cleaner than I remembered, and I went to two great restaurants that were new to the area. "

"If you are in SF with your own car, this place is the answer. Excellent on-premises garage with 24 hour in-out access. Really, I chose this place for the garage, but everything else turns out to be fantastic, too. Comfy bed. Great views. Quiet, clean rooms. Excellent customer service. Good location. Especially when I need the garage, I never shop around—I just instantly re-book right here."
