"Staff were brilliant, so welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay, can't thank them enough. For the price of the room on our budget was absolutely spot on. TV, small ensuite and very warm and cosy. The bed was very comfy. Room was very clean with toiletries provided and everything we needed for our overnight stay on the way to ferry at Cairnryan. In fact we highly recommend this hotel for its convenience to the ferry port and value for money, you won't beat it on price. The food was lovely, extremely generous portions for our evening meal. My husband had steak, very thick and perfectly cooked and I had small fish, which was quite big so I recommend. Breakfast in the morning, was everything we needed, cereal, toast, tea, coffee, juice, full english or create your own and many other choices - all included in the price of your stay. This was our first time in Portpatrick (which is a lovely harbour town) and we will definitely be returning to stay at The Waterfront Hotel & Bistro. Definitely highly recommend for good value, great service and lovely food in a delightful place."

"The room was a good size and we were lucky to be facing the loch. Looked to be have been updated recently. All the staff were excellent, especially in the restaurant. I would suggest you have a look at the water pressure for the showers though. I'd look to stay again if I was heading to Stranraer "

"I am 6'6" and currently have limited mobility following an operation. Stairs were a slight problem and i got room 3 which as someone else mentioned had sloping ceilings in parts but there were numerous 'mind your head' signs. Room was compact and clean with two single beds. Limited parking - i ended up being told to park on part of the pavement outside the inn. Owner was very helpful but seemed to be pretty stressed with everything he had to do. Bar and restaurant staff were very attentive and welcoming. Food very good. No breakfast Would i go back - probably not with my current mobility problems but i would recommend to any others "

"I booked the Torrs Wrren Hotel on 14th Januaryfor B&B for Sunday 19th. Free cancellation before 10.00 on 16th. Pay at Torres Warren. On 15th I received the following wia Hotels.com: Dear Guest; For your arrival for Friday 19/01 please make your way to our sister hotel The Harbour House in Portpatrick , where we have a room allocated for you. We have tried to upgrade your room type & we hope that you enjoy the Harbour House Hotel. We have allocated to you a 2 bedroom Apartment . Breakfast is included, delivered to your room & is Continental. On the same day 15th as far I remember I replied to this pointing out that I was booked for SUNDAY 19th not Friday and asking for confirmation. I also rang both the Torres Warren and The Harbour House Hotel but got nobody on the phone. I left a message at Torres Warren again asking for confirmation that it was for Sunday.. No reply On 15th at 13.53 my account was debited by the hotel one day before I could have cancelled for free. I was unaware of this for a day or two. On 18th I had a telephone call to confirm that I was booked into the Harbour House Hotel as above. The caller did not seem to be aware of my communications sand apologized for the mistake on the date. Anyway I accepted the apology and the booking having looked up the reviews on Hotels.com On 19th we made our way to Portpatrick to the Harbour House Hotel. The situation was in a negative way not as expected -entrance shabby, breakfast very poor, bar closed at 20"
