"Ideal zum Entspannen. Eine tolle Aussicht von der Terrasse. Es führt die Straße zu Land's End direkt an den Fenstern vorbei. Trotzdem ist es für einen Großstädter eher ruhig. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine und eine Wäscheleine. Wir haben während dieser Station gut Tempo aus unserer Reise nehmen können und fanden Erholung. "The cottage is fine and it is in a nice location BUT the details of the cottage listed on the Expedia website and Sykes Cottages are different and misleading. Expedia shows the cottage to be within the Penzance city centre & 8 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The cottage is 8 miles (13 kms.) from the Penzance city centre. "The breakfast was good, but let down by being a little cold. The room and hotel were very nice and well kept, but the restaurant area was incredibly cold, the windows in the conservatory area leaked air around the edges and the air con wasn’t running any heating when we were in there eating so hurried through and returned to room. The beautiful but difficult to climb down to beach at Porthchapel has now (May 2018) been sadly been swept clean of all the sand in this image by the winter storms, leaving only rocks. From this photo I estimate that a depth of 3 metres of sand has been washed away.
