"This is alovely boutique hotel that looks just like the online pictures. The man who greated me spoke the best English of anyone I have met in 7 weeks of travel in China and his advise on how to maximize my time was spot on. whe I asked about a car and driver for the day he arranged it. I am not cerrtain but I think the car may have been owned by the hoqtel and the driver may be on the psyroll. In any event it was very convenient and the driver and I got along fine with our respective phone...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Pingyao and stay at the Yide hotel. It’s a classic Pingyao bankers house and the staff were wonderful. We ate several meals there and recommend that other guests skip the downtown restaurants and eat dinner there. Staying at the Yide is like a magical walk back in time!"
