Hotels near Naval Base Coronado

"I travel quite a bit and this has honestly been one of the favorite places I’ve stayed in a long time! We stayed as a family and had the two bed/two bath room. It allowed us so much room as a family and a the price was very reasonable for the nights we booked. The hotel was very quiet and we never heard any noises in our room. You can hear planes overhead when outside or at the pool, but it didn’t affect our enjoyment of the property. The breakfast was really good every morning too and there was plenty of seating. They have a Wednesday reception in the evening but we didn’t attend, so im not sure what was offered. There is a $21 fee for parking, and the drive to downtown San Diego and everywhere else was so quick and easy. Overall I give this hotel 5+ stars and would for sure stay there again the next time I return to San Diego. "

"Perfect location for petco park which was why we were there . Food choices are limited but there are a lot of restaurants in walking distance . Parking is expensive overnight but most of the parking lots down town are as well. Didn’t use the pool or the gym this time . Room was very nice with good view of the city ."

"Beds were old and uncomfortable, as were the pillows and towels. Felt like they bought everything new two decades ago and just haven’t updated things. We were honestly more tired from our vacation given the poor quality sleep. Never felt hotel food was any good and this really is no exception. They make you omelets which is nice compared to other hotels with continental breakfasts. The fact that we have to pay $70/night for parking in addition to a mandatory $25/night resort fee is quite absurd and a sneaky was for these resorts to take extra money from you. Finally, I was pretty annoyed by the guy in the front trying to sell me more Hilton hotel options. I normally am a glass half full kind of person but many things about this resort rubbed me the wrong way for the price we paid. It’s not like I wouldn’t recommend it, but there’s nothing great about this property. "

"Very beautiful place...its extremely pricey. The amount booked on Expedia was not what was charged. There are alot of additional charges once at the property. In addition, the rooms we booked were not what we received. We booked 2 deluxe kings but received one standard and one deluxe king room. We were told by the general manager he would deduct $200 dollars for the wrong room, but never received the deduction. When we went to check out the Supervisor told us lies that the king deluxe was the standard and a bag of lies. We requested the general manager, but she said he was not available and she would call us after they sort out the room price. We never received any phone call. We received a final bill for $714.14 for the standard. The room should have been a little over $600 for the deluxe king. So beware of the bait and switch. "
