"I spent in Aiden's court my first nights in Sri Lanka before moving forward. This is a big 3-rooms house with a full kitchen. Microwave, gas stove and fridge are included as well tableware. "Worst stay ever - DON'T GO THERE! The place is a mess. So dirty everywhere. On top of a cabin we found a thick layer of dust and a condom package, cables were hanging out of the walls, probably blood on a pillow (so disgusting) and the pool water was so dull that we wouldn't let our kids swim in it. "We walked in an apartment with dust and dirt on the floor, mould behind toilet door, mould on kitchen glass tray. They said this apartment was closed for some time. Housekeeping staff should be trained to check on details. Would not recommend for families who are particular about cleanliness. The management needs to take feedback seriously without giving excuses for lapses."

"I stayed at Marino Beach Hotel for five nights recently and it was perfect. The staff made the biggest difference in my stay, they were friendly, available, and provided services immediately. This makes a big difference when you are jet lagged and need something early in the morning or late at night. During this trip, I happen to go to the other popular hotels in Colombo and realize how friendly and nice Marion’s staff were in comparison. The rooms were clean and staff was available to clean/help at all times. Hotel is attached to a mall so it made shopping and getting meals outside the hotel easy. There are plenty of restaurants around. Easy to get a taxi/uber. Beautiful roof top pool area, clean, secure, and with a view. The only complaint is that even though we had a sea facing balcony, the balcony smelt like food/kitchen fumes so we didn’t go outside at all. It would have been nice to seat outside and get some fresh air."

"Amazing hotel. Staff so lovely and helpful, grounds beautiful, fantastic pool and pool area. This was a short stay, arriving in the afternoon for a flight the next morning but could have stayed here much longer. So peaceful, really unlike any airport transit hotel I have ever stayed in. We only had dinner and all had different things but all were delicious. Free transfer to the airport in the morning was exactly at the agreed time. Thank you very much for a perfect last night in Sri Lanka."
