"Nice location, I happened to visit when everything was getting a new coat of paint. The walls on the front of the room are very thin, you can hear every conversation and every step in the hallway. The pillows are down but they're insanely small. Room was pretty small which wasn't an issue for me but I was solo, if you go with company I could see it being a hassle. Nice bathroom that seems pretty recent with rain head and a hidden drain"
The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Hot water was lacking, so if you like cold morning showers you'll be right at home.
$57/day for valet is nonsense.
$25 dollars to rent a movie I should be able to access from my netflix account is absurd.
Charges to my bill b/c a sensor in the room was triggered when a beverage or snack from the minibar was moved is a great way to generate revenue without an expense. Thankfully I looked at my bill and remove ~$100 in charges.
There were smells like a gas station bathroom in different areas of the hotel. Not everywhere, but I'm guessing it's related to the suffering sewage/utilities in downtown NOLA.
Upon arrival the valet didn't even offer to help with bags. Not a big deal for me, but an offer would have been appreciated and shown a level of service appropriate for a Waldorf Astoria property."
