The property was extremely dark inside, not particularly clean and the absolute minimum of outlets, towels and amenities in the rooms. The staff was very helpful but it was clear the owners of the property were not interested in supporting them given the condition of the property

The Paramount Hotel is the perfect location for a first time in New York as it is close to everything. Staff is incredible and check in is very simple. There is a nice accommodation if you need to leave your bags before checking in or after checking out. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Paramount.

Best thing about this hotel is location. Guest services are minimal. No water except on 4th floor , ice machine out of order, no help with luggage coming or going. No answer to guest services phone call. Concierge service/rep was great and helpful!

The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Staff was friendly and housekeeping was very accommodating. It’s located so close to everything. Definitely will be staying again.

The interior of the room was sufficient for my minimal needs. The internet was very unreliable, and the TV did not allow for use of apps (Netflix, Hulu, etc) as advertised. Fruit flies were everywhere upon check in. I requested extra towels one time during my stay. One towel was thrown on the bed by housekeeping. It was not folded, nor was it placed appropriately in the bathroom. It was either freezing cold, or roasting hot in the room. No lamps whatsoever. Only two glaring overhead bulbs. I will not be booking this hotel ever again.

The room was fairly clean, but it had very little furniture and storage. It was also hot, and I was unable to change the temperature, despite two calls for someone to fix it. The bed was comfortable. The area around the hotel was really nice and convenient, with plenty of good restaurants. Overall, this hotel has not been my favourite in New York but I would stay there again if needed.

The hotel has an unpleasant perfume scent. The lobby was small and under construction. This was not noted when placing reservation. The lobby was colder than being outside.

The only reason you want to stay here is because it is just 50 steps away from Times Square. The rooms are tiny and the number of towels & soaps were minimal. There were issues with the elevators as well, and only two were working out of four. The Manager and Receptionist were very welcoming. I didn't have a good experience with the bellman when I was checking out. We had a lot of luggage and, therefore, asked for help from the bellman. The bellman used the service elevator, which was different from the regular elevator. Since all the elevators were not working properly and a lot of people were checking out, it took us half an hour to reach the hotel lobby. The bellman demanded money for keeping our luggage in the storage area and then alleged that I was lying it took us so much time to get downstairs. To be honest, I would have given him the tip but the whole experience left a sour taste. I confronted the Manager. She apologized and refunded me the money. Again, it was not about the money but his pathetic attitude and accusation that disgusted me.

I’m overall satisfied with my recent 1-week stay at this hotel. I think the location is the biggest pro of this hotel as it situated near Times Square, theatres and many other attractions. A part of the lobby was under renovation when I was there, aside from that the ambiance was nice. HVAC is controlled centrally, therefore I couldn’t set a higher degree on cooler nights. There was no in-room coffee/tea or minibar, as a matter of fact the room was small and there was no enough space even for the safe which a technician brought later so he had to place it vertically on the floor inside the closet, but there were water dispenser and ice machine on 4th floor. Staff was kind and welcoming, especially thank Rudy the front desk agent for his friendly and helpful attitude. Sum up to give a constructive feedback; amenities can be improved and the policy of charging fee for luggage storage can be reviewed; even the current pricing is not consistent, for example, it was stated that the storage fee is $2 per bag on the e-mail I received the day before the check-out but I was charged $3 per bag. Thank you.

After check in, went to the room and noticed that we didn't have any wash clothes, no refrigerator and if you requested one it was an additional $20 that's insane. I called housekeeping to come clean the room and give us new sheets and they never came smh.

This is an excellent hotel that is reasonably priced for New York City. That is particularly amazing since it is right off Times Square in the heart of the theatre district. The room was small and basic but very clean.

The bathroom was very outdated: toilet was the same as a public restroom toilet; bathroom sink was a metal sink on four legs; no counter space except a small niche ledge. No cups, microwave or refrigerator in the room; lobby and hallways very dimly lit; noticeable water stains on ceiling.
