Great stay again

Have stayed here before as can take dogs. Great location very friendly staff and nice big rooms. Great breakfast as always.

If you are looking for 4 or 5* ratings then the Waterford Arms isn't for you. If you want honest, no frills accommodation with wonderful staff and great food then you're onto a winner. We had a great stay and when the area had a power cut on a fully booked restaurant on Saturday night the staff were amazing. Despite a considerable loss of income they kept smiling and coped very well. Seaton Sluice itself is very popular at the weekend. Not surprising really as it is very picturesque. We would be happy to return.

The views across the bay from our room were terrific, the food was good, room was spotless and comfortable, ensuite modern. What really made our stay though was the friendliness and helpfulness of the hard working staff.

Great place!

Lovely place to stay, we’ve stayed here a few times and will do again. The food in the restaurant is excellent and great value. The room (that we had) is small but has everything you could need and a comfy bed. Staff are really friendly.

Staff were fantastic and the food was superb. Very generous portions too. Breakfast included in price meant the overall price was excellent value. Location is great and the views to the beach lovely (plus beach was easy walking distance). Room was basic but had everything needed. Whole place had a friendly and relaxed vibe from start of our stay to the end. Would happily recommend to anyone.

A great find just off a fantastic beach on the outskirts of Whitley Bay. Friendly and professional staff team, proper pub/hotel .

Nice little pub very close to the beautiful beach. Visiting with our dog we were very welcome. Really dog friendly place and we would be happy to go back very soon. Great walks and views!

Good place to stay

Staff were welcoming and helpful. Explained clearly how to get in after hours. They did a packed lunch as we had to leave before breakfast service, packed lunch was high quality.

This is a lovely old inn overlooking the ocean. Our room was big, bright, and very comfortable with two windows looking out over the ocean and village. The bathroom was a bit tired, but that is to be expected in an old building. The staff were absolutely wonderful! Breakfast isn’t served until 9 and we had to leave by 8, so the chef quickly made us up two breakfast sandwiches for the road.

Great location

Good sized room with a sea view and all amenities. Comfortable double bed, tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits. Everywhere was clean if a bit tired. The electric shower was temperamental but usable. The food choices were excellent and well cooked. I can recommend the sea food linguini, it was delicious. We had breakfast both mornings and again the choice was better than we have had in other places we have stayed and freshly cooked to order. On the down side, the pubic areas could do with a refurb as the seating is very worn. I feel I have to say something about the rear exit to the parking, it was dirty an unkempt, did not give a good impression of the place when using to get in or out Three of the beers/largers were off and there was no prosecco on offer. Not sure if there is a stock problem or they had run out. The staff were great, very pleasant and helpfull. Overall we enjoyed our stay but not sure if we would go back.
