"Our room was clean, spacious, and had a fine view of the sea. The hosts were affable and eager to help, and the food was excellent. There is a large outdoor swimming pool nearby with a heated section that is well worth investigating."
"Pros:
- Very Clean
- Spacious Flat
- Very Smart Kitchen
- Comfortable Bedding
- Very Modern Bathroom
- Close to the town and Sea
- provided us Fresh Bread, Bacon and Better
Cons:
- This is a basement Flat and should have been listed as one
- It can get rather noisy upstairs with banging and a dog running around
- If you are afraid of Dogs, although the connecting door upstairs oppsoite the bathroom is locked, there was a few times the dog was heard near the door.

"Staff were really nice!
The window in our room was too high, can’t really see what’s outside. The room felt very small because of how the windows were positioned. "
"Great for an overnight stay. No free parking need to park at nearby car park. Breakfast (full english) is excellent. The room is basic. Good location (5min walk) if you need to catch a ferry to isle of scilly. Within walking distance to town centre."
"The cottage is fine and it is in a nice location BUT the details of the cottage listed on the Expedia website and Sykes Cottages are different and misleading. Expedia shows the cottage to be within the Penzance city centre & 8 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The cottage is 8 miles (13 kms.) from the Penzance city centre. "Mark and Karen are fantastic hosts. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with lots of extras provided. The breakfast foods prepared by Karen are delicious!"
"The top floor room I had was just perfect for my 2 night stay.
It was spotlessly clean, comfy bed, lovely linens and soft towels. A great place to come home to after a day of sightseeing.
The house is very quiet (apart from the Seagulls lol!) and you’ll receive a very warm welcome.
It’s close to the seafront and a 15 minute walk from the railway and bus station.
Tea and Coffee provided and I was thrilled to find a Gideon in the nightstand. "
