"Room was comfy, gigantic tv, had safe inside closet nice to lock stuff up, very updated and clean bathroom. Excellent bar and breakfast. Sat out by the high fire pit at night in rocking chairs. Very close to water front and stores not even 10 min walk. Had valet parking versus trying to park on the street. I would highly recommmed Hotel Viking. I have been to Newport a few times and would definitely stay here again."

"Amazing breakfast and afternoon tea. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms, colonial furnishings. Really enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint is that the air conditioning unit is right next to the head of the bed which wasn’t an issue for us because the weather was cool enough not to have needed it, but had it been summer it would have been annoying. Loved Newport and hope to return someday."

"Beautiful location 10-15 minutes from mansions and downtown. Hotel is simple but comfortable. They do operate as a wedding venue, so the first night we stayed it was a bit loud until 11pm (not an issue, but something to keep in mind if you're booking). Continental breakfast was appreciated. No heating controls in room, so it was either really warm or cold, which we thought was odd."
