"A tidy and well-maintained place, conveniently located in the heart of the city. We stayed in the family room, which was spacious and comfortable, making for a very pleasant visit. The breakfast was enjoyable, with a great selection of delicious pastries."

"A lovey 300 year old cottage. Beautiful rooms. Spotlessly clean. A full English breakfast sets you up for the day. Paula and Simon are wonderful hosts, very welcoming. We felt like we were visiting friends. Well located for getting around the area, Eden project and popular beaches and harbours a short distance away.

"Parking easy, reception area not great but checked in ok and shown to room. Room is fine but tired and kitchen too dark and poor quality fittings. Shower not high pressure but ok.
A good freshly cooked full English breakfast, and friendly owners. "

"Fire alarm went of once during each of my two nights stay
Once at 1.30am and the other day at 3am in the middle of the night
No one from the staff came to check on guests, no information given either
Really unsafe process in place - doubt its compliant either … would be interesting to check
Horrible stay and they refused to refund the stay while they could not even fulfil the minimum required from a hotel - being able to sleep basically
Not recommending this place at all "
"Got told when checking in one of the blinds was broken and asked not to use it we ended up going home that evening,we had food it was not great tried small starters the coleslaw was just terrible the chips under cooked and had olives and bread well over priced as the bread was quarter of a baguette and warmed up in a microwave. Not impressed to be honest."
"This guest house in the centre of Newquay is perfect.
Very comfortable bed, nicely appointed room with 6 accessible power points,
Good shower with plenty of room and great water pressure, nice bedding, a view to die for from room 15. Decent size smart TV, nice lighting and accessibility. They even provide a telescope for your use.
The breakfast was varied and generous. The owner was very pleasant and communication was spot on.
When we got up for breakfast we were genuinely shocked at how many other guests there were, the rooms were so quiet we thought we were alone.
We were allowed to leave our bags for a few hours after checkout whilst we looked round the town. We arrived by train and it was a very short walk from Newquay railway station. There is also a bar and pool table that looked very welcoming although we didn't use either. It's clear that no corners have been cut here, none at all.
A lovely stay, a great owner and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend."
"it was a really nice stay. the room was lovely, marks here and there so needs a bit of reno but apart from that, bed was comfy, the receptionist at the desk was lovely and helpful, even put a cone on my reserved parking :) pleasant stay in the centre !
(shower door wouldn’t close which was frustrating, but that just goes with needs a bit of reno!)"
"Despite the 1960s look from the front and the scaffolding this hotel is built into the side of the hill is a hidden gem. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The food was excellent and the views of Mawgan Porth were stunning even in the unpleasant weather that we had. Really enjoyed the spa too. Even the Yogi tea that was on offer. Would definitely stay there again"
