"Unsure what makes this an eco retreat aside from the fact they ask you to bring your own water bottle to refill with water they provide and there is no hot water for showers. The property has a lot of potential but it felt maybe slightly neglected. There was a lot of debris on the ground, the kitchen area was really dirty and the room had rusty racks and shower curtains that allowed water to spray out all over the floor. "This room was perfect for my solo trip! Staff was super helpful via Whatsapp. Since it is an off season, I understand there was not much staff/ amenities up and running, but they were available! Cleaning crew was around and doing an amazing job! The room was clean, spacious, and tasteful! The outdoor sitting areas were great! Self-check in and check out were amazing and easy! I highly recommend this place and would stay here again! You cannot beat the location!"

"It’s best to go off peak. We had a wonderful stay in early September. The staff was excellent. We booked one excursion through the hotel which was amazing! We did another excursion with Gerald. He is great! All in all we had a great vacation in Costa Rica!"

"We were met at the desk with a friendly staff person who let us know of local tours, the adjacent convenience store, and walked us to our room. The room was wonderful with a balcony. We enjoyed the breakfast, dinner, the pool and the game room with 2 pool tables. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We participated in the trivia night and listened to the Jimmy Buffet tribute band from the pool area. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk to the beach. A great place to stay!"
