Lawson and 7 eleven are walking distance which we mostly had our breakfast and snacks. They also had restaurants around that area and Ameyoko Market is right across the street. Hosts can speak English and very helpful. My dad was missing his new shoes that he just bought and it was found, so we were really happy about that. They also help us get taxis when we went home. "we were happy with everything in the hotel. Nothing to complain about. We were there to enjoy private Onsen and it was very nice. There is some Sulphur smell in the corridors but I guess, that is expected when you are near a hot spring."

"The photos do not do it justice. This house is immaculate! I love the smell of new construction. Every room was nicely done, super clean, full amenities, everything you'd need to be comfortable. An easy 8-10 min walk from the train station even with rolling our carry on luggage. The 7-11 store is about a 3 min walk. There are about 2-3 bus stops very close to the house depending on which route you're heading to. This was a good base to stay for the Hakone loop. We walked to the Open Air Museum...

"An amazing house with great volume, vaulted ceilings, 4 bedrooms and a private onsen bath.
The house was beautiful, perfectly located near all the exciting restaurants and sights around Hakone. A perfect place to spend a few days and I wish we had more time to truly enjoy it fully.
Lots of windows, a beautiful garden, gorgeous interior with wood paneling everywhere and some rooms with traditional tatami mats.
Highly recommend !"
