"Our first trip to Jamaica (April 13–19) at Ocean Coral Spring was largely a great experience with one major issue. The resort is beautiful, with a grand entrance and relaxing atmosphere. Staff are friendly, though more reserved and on “island time.” We stayed in a spacious, clean suite with a comfortable bed, double-head shower, balcony swing, hot tub, and a lovely partial ocean view—perfect for peaceful mornings and evenings. Food and service were strong overall. We enjoyed Martha’s Market and the Privileged Lounge, and the butler service was excellent—attentive and accommodating. Unfortunately, our final night put a damper on the trip. During a paid dinner, a live maggot was found on the shrimp, which immediately killed our appetite for the rest of the stay. Staff handled it professionally—the chef apologized, alternatives were offered, and the charge was removed—but the incident raised concerns about food safety and overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable vacation. Overall, it’s a beautiful resort with great amenities and service, but improved food handling practices are needed to ensure a consistently positive guest experience."

" The resort is in the middle of the slums. Broke down cars, houses and trash everywhere. The check in was ok. Had to sign a lot of waivers. The rooms were old fashion and just ugly. The beds didn’t have any blankets, only sheets. There was no small towels in the room. You had to request them. Room service was weird. They had a small menu and didn’t provide drinks. You had to call housekeeping for drinks. The staff here are amazing! They all seemed like they were walking on eggshells though. The views were nice in the back of the resort. The front looked like a 3rd world country. There is no atm on the property. Had to drive about 20 mins to another town to a bank with walk up atm. I stood in the line for over 30 mins. The food at the resort was amazing. Entertainment was great. The drinks had to be made with the smallest amount of alcohol, because I’m a light weight and never got a buzz even after 3 drinks. It was weird seeing the employees be searched after clocking out. They were checking to see if they stole anything. I was informed they search them upon arrival as well for drugs. The tour driver we had was very nice but we booked a ride to see dolphins about 25 mins away in Montego Bay, but the driver took us to the location that was 1.5 mins away in Ochos rios. Wasted hours in the car. Will never come back here. "

"Nice, professional and respectful staff members. The Entertainment Host Nelly is great. Food is delicious. Bartenders are cool. Pool is small but is open all night. Doctor Cove's Beach is pretty, also open all night. My family really enjoyed themselves."
