"Great hotel I'm central location and close to transport links. Arrived to check in and a warm cookie - checks for allergies done at the same time. Was a short trip so didn't use the hotel facilities but would stay again."

"Shops very close. Only one male staff member rather unhelpful with attitude."

"All was fine. Just a one night stay, this is a very convenient location, with parking, and close to York (but avoiding the traffic of York). Having wifi and breakfast are also good reasons to choose this hotel."

"All staff went above and beyond. Room was ready early and we were allowed to check in when we arrived. We were given warm cookies on arrival which was a nice touch. Room was spacious, clean, and had everything you could need including tea, coffee, iron, toiletries, etc. the room had a heater and aircon and so the temp of the room was perfect for us. breakfast was amazing and again staff couldn’t be any more helpful. We will definitely be returning! "

"Lovely hotel, we had the Orange cottage and breakfast was worth every extra penny. Parking was steep at £15 but overall enjoyable stay"

"Very clean and comfortable room! The one thing that sucked as they had the windows open when we arrived (in February!) and our room was FREEZING and it took quite a while to get it warm. There were great bathroom amenities, although the shower conditioner was actually just more soap when I put it in my hair. I thought I had breakfast included when I booked but was told I did not so we didn't try the breakfast as we found it quite a high price (almost 17 GBP, which is about $35 per person). The staff were not the most helpful, kind of didn't give much direction and when we called about extra pillows (there was specifically a card in the room saying we had pillow options) we were ignored the first time, called 30 minutes later and told there weren't really options and he just brought us 2 more. The location is pretty walkable to York's main sites and there's enough room to pull a car up for loading/unloading."
